Dr. Betsy Goldenberg
Palo Alto

An Ohio native, Dr. Betsy Goldenberg headed west to the University of Colorado at Boulder to obtain her bachelors degree in Biology. She returned to Ohio for veterinary school and graduated from Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. With an initial interest in zoo and aquarium medicine, Betsy lived in various locations across the country to work with everything from elephants to tigers to penguins. However, she ultimately discovered that cats and dogs are her favorite patients of all! Betsy has been working in the Bay Area as a small animal veterinarian since 2005. Her professional interests include internal medicine with a special focus on geriatrics, pain management and surgery. When not working, you can find Betsy out hiking or running with her husband, son and dog, Zanzibar, cooking, and if lucky, traveling abroad.

We adopted an 8 month old kitten named Churro 4 days ago and needed to get him to a vet. Since he was still settling into the apartment, VetPronto's service was perfect for us to get Churro seen without traumatizing him with the cat carrier and foreign environment. Doctor Betsy Goldenberg showed up promptly and was able to give Churro his checkup super efficiently. She sent a thorough follow-up within a few hours after the exam, with links to products she recommended we use for specific needs. You've earned our trust, VetPronto! My only feedback for the VetPronto team is that both the web and mobile interface could use improvement. I know this isn't the focus of VetPronto's service, but it would only better the the overall experience for these pet parents :)

I used VetPronto for the first time this past week and am so happy to have found this service. I was absolutely obsessed with my vet in NYC and was nervous to find comparable care in SF. Dr. Rachel was on time and completely smothered Gypsy (my shmorkie- shitzu, yorkie, maltese) mix with love and affection that Gypsy was not once nervous or cautious of the exam to come. Dr. Rachel was super honest and knowledgeable and her write up report that was emailed to me after was very clear and informative. Furthermore, customer service from Vet Pronto has been top notch. Each time I have called- (1) wanting learn about the service (2) resolving a cancellation email that had been sent by mistake and (3) reviewing a bill - I have spoken to nice, informed, polite reps. Kudos VetPronto for making this experience a positive one for me and my pooch :)

Wow! Service: prompt, very gentle and adaptive to the home environment. My pup has a little excitement urination issue. No problem at all. They were super understanding. Very informative. Took the amount of time necessary. Not rushed but not dragging it out. Answered all my question. Email summary of discussion and useful pointers. Look my pups history with them. Adapte their methods to pup. Worked with me. Wow. I never thought it would be so awesome. For last minute emergency (Sunday appt available!), this is so clutch. They also do vaccination and other services. I highly recommend them. It is definitely more than a regular visit to an economical vet if you are trying to compare simple physical exam to exam, BUT it is worth it if your dog does not enjoy the vet, somewhat emergency or worrisome cases, if you seriously cannot get your dog an appt at your vet or if you just want to do this at home. I actually enjoyed the visit and felt reassured and learned quite a few things to apply in the future with my pup. Wow. I don't give 5 stars. But gotta do it. Thanks Dr Gaby and Dr Kirsten!
