Dr. Margo Reid is an East Coast native who grew up exploring the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania with the family dogs by her side. At the age of 14, Margo began work at a local veterinary clinic as a kennel assistant and dog groomer. Her passion for the profession grew as she went on to become an overnight graveyard technician at a specialty clinic in San Francisco. Margo worked through the night and attended classes at UC Berkeley by day where in 2001, she obtained a bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
Margo went on to pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of California at Davis and graduated with the class of 2007. Since then, she has spent 11 years in clinical practice as a small animal general practitioner. Margo has a particular passion for wellness exams, senior care and animals who are struggling with mobility issues. She has recently become certified in veterinary acupuncture and is currently taking classes in Eastern herbal medicine. She is an integrative veterinarian at heart, believing where one system fails, the other can often deliver a solution.
Margo spends her free time much as she did when she was a child; roaming the Oakland hills with her hound dog Travis by her side. She is an avid gardener, a weekend traveler and a self professed foodie. Margo shares her home with her partner, their three precocious cats, and a sunbathing hound dog.
